BUGS

THE BUGS AND INSECTS

cover an incredible variety of species including beetles, spiders, wasps and shield bugs. The resin spheres ensure that even fine limbs and delicate antennae are preserved in their correct positions, giving you the opportunity to examine them from every angle. They are all carefully and sustainably harvested or bred to order and then humanely preserved.

FOSSILS

THE FOSSILS

in the collection are all at least 20 million years old. The oldest samples are over 250 million years, and are all that remains of creatures that lived even earlier than the first dinosaurs with many of the 'younger' fossils dating from the end of the Cretaceous period when the last dinosaurs died out. They are all sourced from graded deposits that are found in different locations all around the world and are individually assessed to make sure that they reach the high standard required for the collection. The specimens include both animal and plant life.

MINERALS

THE ROCKS AND MINERALS

include fascinating examples of most major mineral types, plus selected rocks, that often combine different minerals to create extraordinary marbling or banding effects. Where necessary, the samples have been polished or split to show classic features, otherwise they are presented exactly as they are found in the Earth. Every sample has been carefully mined, collected and sized, before being preserved in resin, ensuring that it is an excellent example of its kind and a beautiful display piece.
